Privacy
The picker runs on your device. Player names and results are not sent to a server.
What this version stores
Preferences use your browser’s local storage under wgf:preferences:v1: reveal choice, sound and motion settings, input mode, and a schema version. Names, seat order, and stable player IDs are saved only if you turn on “Remember this group.” We don’t store results or a history of picks.
Saved information stays until you forget it or clear this site’s browser data. Under Preferences, “Forget this group” clears the roster and returns to four seats. “Reset settings” resets preferences and stops remembering the current group. If storage is blocked, the picker works in memory and explains that changes may not persist.
What leaves your device
Loading a public website sends ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and requested page, to its host. The hosting provider is Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver and protect the site. It retains personal information for periods based on its business purposes and legal obligations, as described in its privacy policy.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It receives a page address without search parameters, the page title, and basic device information. Google may use analytics cookies to recognize repeat visits. We use page views to understand site traffic. Automatic form, site search, click, scroll, video, and download tracking is off. Player names, group settings, and picks are not sent.
Your choice is saved on this device under wgf:analytics-choice:v1. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change it. Choosing “No thanks” after allowing stops future collection and clears this site’s Google Analytics cookies. Browser settings can also clear site data.
Searches are filtered on your device and are not logged. Publisher source links open an external website only when you follow them; that website has its own privacy practices. There are no ads, AI calls, accounts, or session recording.
Sharing
“Share” shares or copies a clean link. It removes query strings and fragments and includes no names, group settings, or winner. Your browser or operating system handles its own sharing interface.
