How the finger chooser works
Place the phone or tablet flat in the middle of the table. Each player touches the box with one finger. When at least two fingers are down and nobody moves on or off for two seconds, the chooser draws a winner. The chosen finger lights up; the others fade. Lift every finger to go again.
Switch to Full turn order to number every finger instead: 1 goes first, 2 goes second, and so on.
Is it fair?
Yes. Where your finger lands, how fast you touch and your finger’s color make no difference. The draw uses your browser’s secure random number generator, the same one behind our first-player picker, so every finger on the screen has the same chance.
How many players?
Most phones track five to ten touches at once; tablets usually track more. If someone’s finger doesn’t appear, your screen has reached its limit. Use the picker with names for a bigger group.
