Who goes first in Acquire?

Renegade English edition

Each player draws a building tile and places it on its matching board space. The player whose tile is closest to 1A goes first; play passes to the left.

If your rules call for a random choice, use the player picker.

Rule details

Compare the letter before the number: the rulebook gives 9A as closer to 1A than 1B. Leave the drawn tiles on the board.

If there’s a tie

The rulebook doesn’t say. If you need a tie-break, pick a player at random.
