Who goes first in Bohnanza?

Pick a starting player and give them the starting player card. The rulebook does not say how to pick.

Rule details

The starting player is the first active player; turns then go clockwise.

The starting player keeps the starting player card all game: a tie for most gold goes to the tied player sitting furthest clockwise from the starting player.

If there’s a tie

The rulebook doesn’t say. If you need a tie-break, pick a player at random.
