Who goes first in Decrypto?

Le Scorpion Masqué English edition

Both teams choose an Encryptor and prepare their clues at the same time. The White team’s Encryptor reads their clues first.

If your rules call for a random choice, use the player picker.

Rule details

After the White team’s sequence, repeat the clue-reading and guessing sequence for the Black team.

Neither team attempts an interception in the first round. Team members take turns as Encryptor in later rounds.

This describes the standard game with two teams of two to four players.

If there’s a tie

The rulebook doesn’t say. If you need a tie-break, pick a player at random.
