Who goes first in Snail Sprint!?

The player who most recently held a snail in their hand starts and rolls both dice.
Rule details
Turns then proceed clockwise. The same booklet provides beginner and pro sides of the board without a different starting rule.
If there’s a tie
The rulebook doesn’t say. If you need a tie-break, pick a player at random.
