• Legacy: Gears of TimeRandomly choose a player to pick their position in the opening player order first. The rulebook suggests comparing watches and giving first choice to the player whose watch shows the earliest time. The chosen player may select any position, so this step does not itself determine who takes the first turn.
• Vivid MemoriesGive the start player marker to whoever can recall the earliest positive memory, or choose a player at random.
