Who goes first in Formula D?
Asmodee English basic rules
Each player rolls the black die for their starting position. The highest roll takes pole position and starts at the front; place the other cars in descending order of their rolls.
Official tie-break or fallback
Players with equal rolls reroll the die to settle their starting positions.
If your rules call for a random choice, use the player picker.
Rule details
Race turns follow the cars’ positions on the track. If two cars are level, the higher gear goes first; if their gears are equal, the car nearest the inside for the next or current corner goes first.
The separate roll under “Start” determines whether the engine stalls or the car gets a good start; it does not choose the starting grid.
