Who goes first in The Quacks of Quedlinburg?

Schmidt English base game

Whoever most recently cooked something is the first starting player. They hold the Fortune Teller deck and read its opening card; everyone brews potions at the same time.

Rule details

The starting-player role passes clockwise with the Fortune Teller deck after each round.

During ordinary brewing, players do not have individual turns or have to draw chips in lockstep. In the final round, the starter calls for everyone to draw together.

If there’s a tie

The rulebook doesn’t say.
