Who goes first in Spirit Island?

Greater Than Games English core rulebook, 2016–2018

Spirit Island has no first player. It is cooperative, and all players act simultaneously within each phase of every turn.

Rule details

Each turn runs Spirit Phase, Fast Power Phase, Invader Phase, Slow Power Phase and Time Passes; players confer freely.

When timing matters, players resolve Powers in whatever order they want, as long as no Power interrupts another partway through.

If a group decision cannot be agreed and it does not come from a Power or a land, the game owner or organizer makes the call.

If there’s a tie

The rulebook doesn’t say. If you need a tie-break, pick a player at random.
