- ExoplanetsThe player who can name the most of Jupiter's moons takes the first turn. Alternatively, choose the starting player by any random method.
- Inuit: The Snow FolkThe player who enjoys cold weather most receives the First Player card, or choose the first player by another method.
- NucleumFor two to four players, choose the first player at random and give them the First Player marker. That player takes the opening turn, and play continues clockwise.
